If you want to help protect your liver, consider milk thistle (Silybum marianum). This non-toxic herb can help protect the liver from toxic injury and help to stimulate regeneration of the liver. It does this by enhancing the metabolism of hepatocytes, the working cells of the liver. Milk thistle can be taken for a variety of liver problems such chronic hepatitis. If you regularly drink alcohol, milk thistle can help to protect against injury to the liver. In addition, you can take milk thistle if you’re being treated with interferon for chronic hepatitis B or C. Milk thistle products are available in health food stores - look for standardized extracts in tablet or capsule form, and follow the dosage on the label. You can take milk thistle indefinitely

very good info, Fish. I may have to try that, now that I've kicked my tylenol PM addiction. No telling the damage I've done to my liver when I was popping those

I would suggest 250mg twice daily.

Supposedly, after 30 days your liver will have began to reap the rewards.

THIS IS A SCIENTIFIC PROVEN WAY TO REGENERATE LIVER CELLS and cure bad liver damage!

Enjoy,

I hear you. Same thing with me. About 2-3 years ago Every night I'd take 1-2 of these, because I was convinced I couldnt sleep 6+ hours without them.

I had no idea the part of it that makes it 'pm' can cause serious liver damage when used long term. That scared me off it.

A lot of post steroid cycles contain milk thistle for this very reason. It is very good for your liver; the human organ that Steroids damage the most.

Was big on this 10 -15 years ago but pretty much stopped drinking and don't take it so much anymore. Would definitely recommend to those in their 20's and it cannot hurt for anyone to take it on regular basis. Whether it is self-inflicted toxins or not, your liver takes the worst of it and has to process all the poisons out of your system. Still, the best thing for liver and Kidneys is H2O.

Correct

Even if one doesn't drink alcohol, still a healthy supplement to be taking for more than just that.
